District Bliss Vendor Social
Yesterday our company had the privilege to plan the District Bliss DC Vendor Social. The concept of the event has a specific target audience. Verses planning a networking event for the general public to attend, District Bliss plans a social for Event and Wedding Professionals.The beauty about this however, is that it allows pros to build a relationship with like minded people. I can't tell you how many times I've attended or have been asked to attend "networking" events with people who aren't really interested in my services. Sure I could hit a gold mine at a charity mixer, but I'd probably have better luck talking to people who are actually in my industry and are seeking collaborations.
Last night I had no expectations of talking about my work. I came to set up the space and simply cater to my clients needs. I'm so glad more than that happened.
From the beginning, District Bliss handed me a team of exciting vendors who were just as eager to participate as I. The theme was Great Gatsby and if you've ever been to Restaurant Marvin you already know this theme was spot on.
With a little inspiration, a pop of gold color, creative signage, food and a swanky band, we were all set for the best four hours spent on a Wednesday thus far.
